"We are very upset," John Hickenlooper, cousin and the mayor of Denver, said in a statement.
George died fairly, according to the Denver Post, citing a statement from the mayor's office.
JACK Casino, starring Kevin Spacey as Jack Abramoff, the jailed lobbyist, will begin play on Thursday (11/04) future.
"Film festival which will be opened on Wednesday (3 / 11), will be dedicated entirely to our colleague George Hickenlooper," Britta Erickson, director of the festival, said.
George's other films such as Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmakers Apocalypse in 1991 and The Mayor of Sunset Strip in 2003.
