Shifted 'Other Guys', 'Inception' Excellence Abroad

LOS ANGELES - Despite the box office displaced in their own country, Inception still leading in some overseas markets.

After three weeks on the stairs leading U.S. box office earlier this week that the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio should abdicate to rank second. Instead, a new film that debuted last weekend, The Other Guys, a direct see-through and sit in the first rank.

This cop comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The film scooped USD35, 6 million or Rp317, 8 billion from ticket sales, according to the film distributor for North America and Canada, as dinukil from Reuters, Sunday (08/08/2010).


This weekend, the thriller about a dream is pocketing $ 18, 6 million or Rp166 billion, while total profits achieved during the four weeks carrying USD227, 7 million or Rp2, 03 trillion. Inception lead in international box office for two weeks with a profit of Rp410, 6 billion from 58 markets.

Figures on foreign ticket sales increased by Rp2, 2 trillion, including Rp348, first in England and Rp205 billion, three billion in Japan.
